I first met this wine in Ivano-Frankivsk in 2024 and have been pursuing it ever since; ordered some for Christmas, and for Easter, as it is very special and rises well to special occasions. Dark, rich, resonant, almost Greek in its tragic intensity; a wine-dark Black Sea of viniculture. Complex and heartening. Slava Ukraina.

Would definitely recommend it if you’re up for trying something a bit different and unique.

A very pleasant wine with a memorable aftertaste. This wine is worthy of being both a gift and for any occasion.

For those who like higher intensity whites, this is definitely one to try. Dry with good acidity, the nose is full of daffodils, jasmine, lemon zest, ripe peach and even guava. Multiple layers are gradually revealed on the palate - the fruits, as well as honey, hint of soft liquorice, finishing on savoury tones and accompanied throughout again by the zest and kumquat, suggesting perhaps some skin exposure (even though this is not the 'orange' version of the wine). The grape is described on the bottle as Traminer Rose; it is unclear whether this is Gewurztraminer or the non-aromatic Rose clone, as the nomenclature can be ambiguous and both are grown in Ukraine: there are no Gewurtz signature notes of lychee, yet the nose was at least semi-aromatic. A delicious, super interesting example to try!

A refreshing white wine, balanced and light with a hint of fruitiness in the finish.

I had this wine at an event and it was delicious. Gentle, beautiful aroma, and interesting tones. I'd say this will be perfect to enjoy over a meal with good friends who like red wines, so I'll be ordering some myself.

Amphora Rkatsitely 2022 Beykush
Indulging in this especial Orange wine is reaching back to the Graeco-Roman worlds of Alexander the Great and Julius Caesar. Their wines would have been stored in Amphora.These pottery vessels enhance fermentation and maturation. Such abilities are now being appreciated with Amphora Wines produced in growing quantities. This version uses a Rkatsitely varietal that is ideal for the Amphora grapes month-long skin contact. The results are an eye-appealing golden colour, smoky and spicy bouquet, tannic backbone and powerful aftertaste. KHAIRE as Alexander would greet the wine and SALUTE as would Julius Caesar!

Villa Tinta Merlot 2021
This is flavoursome, round and voluptuous typifying the French varietal’s qualities of being low in tannins and high in sugars. Yet, although soft and subtle, it is well-structured having strong red colour, grapey substance and lengthy aftertaste. Its alluring bouquet is herbaceous and results in part from early budding and flowering. It is an ideal accompaniment to white meats as Duck and Pork.

Villa Tinta Pinot Grigio 2023
This offering is an exceptional and elegant example of Pinot Grigio. It intriguingly contrasts with the well-known clean-tasting Italian version. This Ukrainian product, however, exhibits the ripeness of a German spatlese – being pleasingly honeyed and mellow with an apricot aroma. Late picking of the grapes gives a deep texture to savour and lingering juicy finish. It is a wine for assertive fish as Sea Bream and Tuna but equally is a good match for Chicken. It will also enjoyably accompany many sweet desserts

Beykush Chardonnay 2023
This elegant offering exemplifies why Chardonnay is so easy to appreciate and globally popular. A selective hand-picking of grapes gives appealing qualities. The aroma is piercingly intense. Alcohol by volume is a deep 13%. Tasting reveals a positive and fresh minerality that is much aided by the wines being unoaked. Telti-Kuruk 2022 Beykush
This engaging white varietal grape is Ukrainian indigenous, individual and intense. This intensity gives a compelling combination of pear and pineapple aromas and flavoursome fruity palate. With a gold-tinged colouration it has eye appeal. It can be drunk alone enjoyably but is an excellent food pairing. Low in oiliness fish such as Salmon and Smoked Haddock are ideal. It equally matches well with lighter meats as Veal and Chicken. This wine deserves international recognition

Really enjoyed this subtly flavoured, fresh and sharp wine with a very slight acidity, would be great for fish and white meat dishes but also passes as a drinking wine

Villa Tinta Premium Collection Irsai Oliver 2022
A bright zesty white wine from an indigenous grape variety. It is comparable to a more fuller-bodied Loire Muscadet, being ideal as a meal pairing for fish. Its freshness especially complements the nutty taste and flaky texture of such seafood choices as prawns, oysters and mussels. With citric and spicy flavours it is also a good accompaniment to chicken.
