One of the best versions of Odesa Black - local Ukrainian variety. The wine has a rich and dark maroon colour. The aroma is full of prunes, berry jam, peppers and dark chocolate. The taste is exciting and complex, with notes of oak (6 months in oak barrels), chocolate, but also forest fruits such as blackberries.
Food Pairing: This wine pairs best with lamb prepared in wine with spices and red spicy pepper, or in its own juice.

Tha service from UWC was excellent. The delivery was very fast and the packaging robust for carrying glass bottles. We have been favouring wines from Puglia in Southern Italy, in particular the Primitivo variety.We found the Odessa Black equally full bodied and with a long finish. The wine was dry, as stated, but ,notwithstanding was an enjoyable tast of Ukraine. In large part, our purchase was to give support to Ukraine in its fight against a fascist invader.
