This Orange Blend is sourced from Ukraine's premier organic and biodynamic winery, Biologist. Amber unfiltered dry wine, the result of exciting experiment with four grape varieties: Chardonnay, Aligote, Traminer and Sukholimanskiy. Orange Blend boasts a rich aroma of exotic fruits and a flavour profile that includes hints of ripe citrus.
The wine is crafted with wild yeast and undergoes spontaneous fermentation

I bought this one because it has a good label - but that's where the good stuff ended. The wine is not good - and I am being British here. There are other great orange wines on this site - go for those - Amphora Rkatsitely, for example. MUCH NICER!

I'd really love to understand what didn't work for you. Was it the aroma, the acidity, a funky or cider-like note, cloudiness, or did the bottle simply seem off? Your answer would help us a lot, and it also lets us check that the bottle was in the condition it should be.
A little background on the wine: Biologist is a small craft winery near Kyiv that works with a natural, low-intervention approach. They use spontaneous fermentation and a gravity-led process without added chemicals. Wines made this way can be a bit 'wild'. They are lighter, sharper and more alive, and they can vary a little from bottle to bottle. This blend is only 11.5% and quite high in acidity, so it's a fresh, zesty style of orange wine. Some of our customers call it their favourite, while others find it too untamed.
I was also really glad to see you enjoyed the Beykush Amphora Rkatsiteli. That one is at the other end of the orange spectrum: fuller, rounder and more structured after six months in amphora. So your reaction makes complete sense to me. It isn't that one wine is good and the other bad. They are two quite different styles, and the Amphora is simply closer to your taste.

Great. One of the best blends of the past few years
I love this wine, it goes so well with both summery and winter dishes. A perfect pairing to fermented vegetables too.
Orange wines once a novelty are now much available. This Orange is exceptional among the availability. It has an appealing bouquet followed by a handsome and enjoyable deep mouthfeel. There is a sweet citrus fruit character with a honeyed and lasting aftertaste.
Ukrainian wines always over-meet expectations!
