I first met this wine in Ivano-Frankivsk in 2024 and have been pursuing it ever since; ordered some for Christmas, and for Easter, as it is very special and rises well to special occasions. Dark, rich, resonant, almost Greek in its tragic intensity; a wine-dark Black Sea of viniculture. Complex and heartening. Slava Ukraina.
The wine itself is wonderful full bodied and tantalising flavour , I will purchase others for sure
I took to drinking this wine nightly at a good restaurant along Nezalezhnosti Street in Ivano-Frankivsk during the wonderful Ukrainian International Shakespeare Festival in June 2024; dark, almost Greek, but smooth, balanced, complex. Absolutely delighted to be able to obtain it in England.
