Introducing «Ace&W by Stakhovsky»

«Ace&W by Stakhovsky» is a wine from the best Ukrainian tennis player, Sergiy Stakhovsky.
Sergiy decided to engage in winemaking at the end of 2015 - after being exposed to wine culture while competing for Vila Primrose (Bordeaux, France). Sergiy rented 20 hectares of wineries in Zakarpattia and began to cultivate the existing grape varieties: Merlot, Saperavi, Rose Traminer, Chardonnay, Riesling, Zweigelt, and Cabernet Sauvignon. For two years, the team of Stakhovsky Wines planted vines, put up pillars, cleaned the parcels, and replanted plots. The first harvest was sent for maturation in French oak barrels in 2018.
Stakhovsky's vines grow near Muzhievo village in the footsteps of the Carpathian Mountains, one of the picturesque wine regions of Ukraine. The first vine plots were planted here before the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The winery is elevated from 100m to 200m, delivering perfect drainage for vine plots. Terroir is predominantly limestone. Protected from cold fronts by the Carpathian Mountains, it is still part of the Pannonian Plain, bringing warm air from the west.
The plots, oriented to the southwest, have plenty of sun, with 650mm of rainfall totals and 3300C-3500C combined active temperature, giving the wines a unique taste.
